Man pulls gun on Hells Angels after being assaulted at bar in Winnipeg

A man was assaulted then retaliated by threatening Hells Angels members with a gun at a bar in Winnipeg.

According to a media release, just after 1:00 am on July 13 numerous police units responded to Bar Italia on Corydon Avenue for a report of a male with a firearm.

An investigation determined that a man had been confronted by members of the Hells Angels motorcycle club and was assaulted by a full-patch member. The victim then brandished a gun and threatened the group.

Everyone involved fled prior to police arriving.

The organized crime unit and biker enforcement unit initiated an investigation and identified the man who was armed with the gun.

On July 24, a search warrant was executed at a home in the 500 block of Clifton Street. A man and a woman were taken into custody. Police seized thousands of dollars in cash, weapons and illegal drugs.

Ryad Ashley Insanali, 33-years-old, faces a list of drugs and firearm charges. He was detained in custody.

A 34-year-old woman was charged with similar offences. She was released on a promise to appear.

Investigators also identified the full-patch Hells Angels member who initial the assault.

He turned himself in at police headquarters yesterday.

Travis Timothy Pallister, 38-years-old has been charged with assault. He was detained in custody.
